KITTERY, Maine (WGME) -- The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery announced a hiring freeze on Monday. In a Facebook post, leaders said their upcoming hiring event on March 4 has been canceled, as they "seek to understand and prioritize resources."

Meanwhile, workers at the U.S. Navy shipyard in Kittery, Maine, say they feel disrespected by Elon Musk's demand that federal employees explain their recent accomplishments by the end of Monday or risk getting fired.
