Controversy surrounding a neo-Nazi demonstration in Lincoln Heights and Evendale continues as the Lincoln Heights community says they were never consulted on the decision to hire a consulting firm to investigate the village's response.

The list of demands includes a full investigation into law enforcement's response to the demonstration. Leaders want the Evendale Police Department to release unedited body camera footage of the entire day. They are also demanding the dismissal of any officers investigators find aided the neo-Nazi group.

The Village of Lincoln Heights and members of the Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church are asking the public to boycott Evendale after their frustration with the Evendale Police Department and Evendale leaders regarding the neo-Nazi demonstration that occurred Feb.

During a lengthy news conference Monday afternoon, officials in Evendale forcefully denounced the sudden appearance of neo-Nazis on an Interstate 75 overpass connecting the village to historically Black Lincoln Heights.

The neo-Nazis ask the police to retrieve a service dog left near the overpass, and one man asks to retrieve his vehicle, described as a black Jeep.

Meanwhile, some Lincoln Heights officials and residents are calling for a boycott of Evendale businesses over questions about that police response and subsequent actions.
