Apr 6, 2018 · I just bought a new laptop and have been wrestling with it for hours and hours. For whatever reason, all of the icons that should be on the start menu out of box, only show the download arrow icon. I cant customize the menu at all because of this glitch. I have updated all the apps, store, and windows.

I don't think changing the icon will resolve the problem you're having opening the folder. I don't know why opening the download folder shuts down Windows Explorer. If could be a number of things (perhaps a Windows Update or some corrupt system file) - and I'll try several options to either resolve the problem or identify the problem so it can ...

The other curious note to keep in mind is that the other groups are listed as my pc name, but guest and system are not included,long with others that are in the usual list of persons, or groups. I'm sure that the system should be listed, since that always has full rights. I didn't find a way to change the icon, or find info for the guest.

Dec 1, 2024 · In the tutorial, OP was asking how to remove the arrow icon, and the concept behind the solution is to replace it with a blank icon file, so it appears the arrow is gone. So you can use the same concept, except you will replace it with your own icon file that has the design you want. I hope this makes sense. Note: This is a non-Microsoft website.
