Humana is diving due to a star-ratings cut for Medicare Advantage plans that will slam 2026 results. UnitedHealth stock is trying to rise.

Shares slid more than 20% as the health insurer prepares for a one-star cut to its largest plan, which contains about 45% of its Medicare Advantage membership.

Humana’s stock was headed for another sharp selloff on Tuesday, toward a more than four-year low, after the government cut its rating on one of the health insurer’s large Medicare Advantage plans because it missed some performance measures.
