Stoke City are reportedly looking at former Swansea City and Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper following the sacking of Narcis Pelac. Pelac took control of 19 games but his disappointing spell has left Stoke looking for a third manager of the season and eighth permanent boss in six years.

Eight bosses have left Stoke since the start of 2018 – Mark Hughes, Paul Lambert, Gary Rowett, Nathan Jones, Michael O’Neill, Alex Neil, Steven Schumacher and Pelach – as the club has tried to arrest then tackle a slide into the bottom half of the Championship.

Stoke City have parted ways with manager Narcís Pelach, the club announced Friday evening. The Potters currently sit 19th in the Championship after picking up just five wins from their opening 23 games. “Narcís is a talented coach with huge potential," Sporting Director Jon Walters said.
