Power restored to all properties in Scotland after Storm Eowyn - One rail route north of the border remains closed following damage caused by the severe conditions last Friday.

The storm brought 100 mile-per-hour winds to the island and also battered Scotland and northern England. Britain’s weather office issued a red warning, its highest level of alert.

The first minister asks for patience as power outages and travel disruption look set to last over the weekend.

Thousands of homes are still without power days after Storm Éowyn caused destruction across Scotland. Scottish Power Energy Networks, which supplies central and southern Scotland, said 3,000 properties were still waiting to be reconnected on Monday evening.
