In a season where not much has gone well for Notre Dame hockey, an unlikely hero stepped up at Wrigley Field on Friday. Could it help turn the season around?

The back-to-back doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday were the first outdoor college hockey games ever played at Wrigley Field, and despite biting cold for both games, fans came prepared for the first-ever Frozen Confines series.

Before the storied football programs meet in the Orange Bowl, the two schools will duke it out on the ice at the Friendly Confines in Chicago.
