One of the more nifty things I saw at Mobile World Congress 2025 was HMD's nifty earbuds case. It has reverse wireless charging and even works with an iPhone.

HMD unveiled several new devices at MWC 2025, including the Fusion X1 smartphone for teens, FC Barcelona-themed feature phones, and Amped Buds wireless earbuds with a charging case. The Fusion X1 focuses on safety with parental controls and impressive specs.

Many earbuds on the market feature wireless charging in the case. That's nothing new. However, I don't want to spare my precious phone battery to reverse wireless charge some earbuds. I'd rather have a functioning phone.

HMD announced a new set of earbuds today with a case that doubles as a backup phone battery. The aptly named wireless Amped Buds come in a Qi2 charging case that uses reverse wireless charging to boost your phone’s charge.

The Amped Buds also come with active noise cancellation, environmental noise cancellation, and a dedicated equalizer through a smartphone app. The Mobile World Congress is an annual event that showcases the best from the smartphone world.
