The inaugural season of the ABC seniors dating competition “The Golden Bachelorette” culminated in star Joan Vassos, 61, of Rockville, Maryland, who works in alumni relations at the private Landon School in Bethesda, choosing 61-year-old Charles “Chock” Chapple, president of Insurance Services Group in Wichita.

And during the finale of the reality series, Vassos said “yes” to Chock Chapple when he got down on one knee to propose. But despite their engagement, Vassos and Chapple won’t be living together. “We’re going to be going back and forth between Kansas to Maryland and to New York,” Chapple explained to People.

During the “After the Final Rose” special, host Jesse Palmer revealed that the couple are still together, dubbing them the franchise’s “newest Golden Bachelorette couple.” The pair then received a family trip to Disney World, a nod to their first date at Disneyland. Since the finale, the pair have kept their relationship private.

Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple are already off to New York. Their season of The Golden Bachelorette ended just days ago, and the senior sweethearts are wasting no time. Then again, they’ve been keeping their relationship a secret since August,

The Golden Bachelorette ended on a blissful note Wednesday night, with Vassos affirming her feelings for Chapple and introducing him to her family in Bora Bora. After their final date, Vassos realizes that she is ready to accept a proposal from Chapple, should it come, and decides to preemptively end things with runner up Guy Gansert.
