Election day in Jefferson County started with a bumpy morning featuring slow voting machines. Ashley Tinius, director of communications for the Jefferson County Clerk’s Office confirmed to the Courier Journal that voting machines across the county were functioning slower than intended.

Colorado is seeing a decrease in early voting numbers compared to 2020, despite trends to the contrary across the country. Jefferson County has seen the highest turnout so far.
