Coco Gauff won the French Open for the first time by defeating top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka 6-7 (5), 6-2, 6-4 on Saturday for her second Grand Slam title.

Gauff is the first American to win the French Open since 2015, when Serena Williams claimed victory in the competition.
