Six firefighters were hospitalized Friday after responding to a house fire in northwest Dallas. Jason Evans, a Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman, said crews responded to flames and heavy smoke about 11 a.m.

Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to a house fire on Durango Drive shortly before noon Friday. While battling the blaze, firefighters noticed a change in the odor's color, prompting immediate evacuation. Six firefighters were taken to Parkland Hospital for treatment after being exposed to chlorine from an unmarked container found at the scene.
