Though he arrived at Carrington last week, visa issues had delayed Amorim’s start to life as United’s new head coach with the former Sporting boss finally allowed to get down to business.

Ruben Amorim promoted 16-year-old Manchester United defender Godwill Kukonki for his first training session at the club. The Portuguese tactician finally took charge of Red Devils training for the very first time on Monday after work permit issues had prevented him from beginning his work on the initial November 11 start date.
