Apple proposed 13 new emoji to the Unicode Consortium. The emoji are accessibility-themed and include a guide dog and a blind person using a cane.

Unicode’s list of “approximately 250” new emoji, which are highlighted in yellow in the new unicode charts released today, include lots of useful (and diverting!) symbols.

Windows 10 appears to include at least some of those Unicode 7.0 emoji; Android 5.x does not, but the M release is right around the corner and could include support for more of them.
