Lionsgate, which has released film adaptations of all four previous “Hunger Games” books, announced later on Thursday that “Sunrise on the Reaping” will open in theaters on Nov. 20, 2026.

Sunrise on the Reaping is the latest instalment in the Hunger Games series. It's a prequel to the dystopian world of Suzanne Collin's original series, which first came out in 2008.
