A server or Microsoft 365 admin can check the ESU status from the Azure Admin Center. They need to go to the Azure Admin portal and navigate to Extended Security Updates > Eligible resources.

Microsoft recently estimated that 60 percent of its server installed base, or 24 million instances, remain on Windows Server 2008 and/or SQL Server 2008, which fell out of support last month.
