SFFD said crews responded to the blaze at 5:55 p.m. on the 1100 block of Alabama Street. Officials say the homeowner was alone and charging the scooter when “it ignited on its own.” ...

An exterior shed behind the California Street home caught on fire and spread to the exterior of the 25th Avenue residence, SFFD said. The fire did not spread to either home’s interior.

SFFD sent an alert at 5:21 p.m. about the fire in a post on X (formerly Twitter). The fire broke out on the 500 block of Divisadero Street between Hayes and Fell streets.
