It would be the first toll rise since the Mersey Gateway Bridge opened in 2017 [Halton Borough Council] Toll charges on the Mersey Gateway and Silver Jubilee bridges are set to rise.

This would mark the first fare increase on the bridges, which span the River Mersey linking Widnes with Runcorn, in seven and a half years - since the £1.86bn Mersey Gateway Bridge was inaugurated.
