The porterhouse is that beautiful cut of meat with a large, T-shaped bone in the middle—the larger side represents the strip loin and the smaller side is a portion from the tenderloin.
That said, because this steak is made from the filet and the New York strip, neither of which should be marinated, it follows that a porterhouse is not the best cut of meat to marinate either.
