Wilson’s body was recovered from the lake on Sunday, but crews are still searching for Jones’ body. Channel 2′s Bryan Mims joined dive teams at Lake Oconee on Saturday morning where they continued searching for the beloved teacher and track coach.

The search for 50-year-old Gary Jones at Lake Oconee has entered its seventh day, following the discovery of his fiancée Joycelyn Wilson’s body in the lake. An empty boat was found near Wallace Dam last Saturday,

“Gary Jones is a beloved Westminster faculty member, coach, and parent. On Sunday, we received word from his family that Gary had gone missing while spending time at an area lake. Our entire community is praying for his safe return and his family during this difficult moment,” a spokesperson for the school wrote in a statement.

Search crews are on Lake Oconee in hopes of finding the body of beloved Coach Gary Jones. He's presumed dead after search crews pulled his fiancé’s body out of the lake over the weekend. The sheriff remains steadfast this fatal incident is not a simple accident.

The Putnam County sheriff says Gary Jones and his fiance, Spelman instructor Joycelyn Wilson were last seen on Saturday. Her body has since been found.
