The Nintendo Switch didn’t make it easy to let you connect with friends and strangers over the internet. The Switch 2, on the other hand, is fully embracing connectivity. To that end, a stand-up camera will be launched alongside the Switch 2 on June 5 that can be used with its GameChat feature.

The launch of a pricier console during a trade war carries risk, but pent-up demand should carry the day.

The most obvious change is the size of the screen. Nintendo offered a sizable 6.2-inch screen with the original Switch. The Switch 2 bumps it up to 7.9 inches. This extra inch and a half of screen real estate should be a significant improvement for gamers who primarily use their console as a handheld device.

Nintendo showed its trademark ability to delight with its console’s unveiling. But some of what it showed was a little head-scratching.

The Mario-maker offered a sneak peek of its highly anticipated new console in January after a series of leaks, but the official detailed unveiling is set to take place Wednesday.
