A GameCube-style controller for the much-awaited Switch 2 was announced at the latest Nintendo Direct event, bringing about a wave of nostalgia and excitement for veteran Nintendo fans.

The official Nintendo retailer is selling Switch 2 compatible Gamecube controllers for £58.99 ahead of the console's June 5 launch.

At that point, Nintendo Switch Online members (and only members) can purchase the GameCube controller for an unspecified price. Only one per user will be sold.
