The Google Maps version is slightly under contention, as Tarun Vats on X claims to have gotten live navigation in the Now Bar and Live Activities with Google Maps v25.04.01.717254420 on One UI 7.

Besides the lock screen, the Now Bar in One UI 7 is visible on the Always-On Display as well. This will make its integration with Live Updates in Android 16 and One UI 8 even more useful.

But a previous leak showed the Now Bar running on the current screen of a Z Flip 5 or 6 instead, which would be much more useful. That fix is expected to be part of One UI 8 as well.
