Injuries have been a common theme for the Wild recently. But the last two injuries have been the most frustrating. Brock Faber got hurt 35 seconds into a game against the St. Louis Blues after Jake Neighbours elbowed the Wild defender in the head while trying to get the puck.

The Minnesota Wild added center Marcus Johansson to the injured reserve Thursday per The Athletic’s Michael Russo, who adds that Johansson is believed to have suffered a concussion.

The red-hot Edmonton Oilers rallied from an early two-goal deficit to defeat the Minnesota Wild 5-3 at Xcel Energy Center on Wednesday (Jan. 15). Connor McDavid scored twice for the Oilers, who also got one goal apiece from Zach Hyman,

Matt Boldy, Marco Rossi and Ryan Hartman scored for Minnesota, which has lost three of four as it deals with major injuries.
