CBC Kids News has decided to move our Minecraft event from Bedrock to Java edition where there are more tools to create a safer and more supportive gameplay experience for all participants.

While Bedrock is a named entity, it actually refers to any version of Minecraft that isn't Java. For this reason, console and mobile users primarily play the Bedrock version of the game.
