Porter Jr. was largely effective, the turnover aside, scoring 15 points on 6 of 11 from the field, knocking down 2 of 4 threes. He added 15 rebounds, including six on the offensive glass.

Porter had expressed frustration after being held to 10 points total in Games 1 and 2 in Oklahoma City, where he shot a combined 3 for 18. He at least felt a little more like himself Friday night.

Porter was owed $78 million over the next two seasons, and Johnson is due $44 million in that same timeframe. For $17 million less per season, Johnson is a similar on-court fit to Porter.
