JAKARTA, June 29 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Sunday attended a groundbreaking ceremony for a major electric vehicle (EV) battery megaproject in Karawang, West Java.

The deal includes the procurement of up to 2.2 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of CATL’s battery energy storage system (BESS) for the solar power and storage project in Riau Islands.
