YTD the average US equities fund as of 10 June shows performance of 9.9%, compared with 5.3% for the index, and eight of the ten largest funds are also outperforming the index.

In bonds, 45.4% of funds did better than the index over three years, but only 16.2% did so over 10 years. In 2011, 23.7% of funds beat their benchmarks.
