Open a new Excel spreadsheet and then type "X" into cell A1. If your differential equation contains an independent variable other than X, such as T, you can type that into the cell instead.

Press "Enter" to get the equation for the first set of data. Type "LINEST (yrange,xrange,TRUE,FALSE)" into a second blank cell in your Excel spreadsheet.

If you don’t know how to insert a chart, do the following: Select B2:D8—the data you want in the chart. Include the header text so Excel can generate a legend automatically.
