Microsoft is integrating Python into its Excel app. A public preview is available for Microsoft 365 subscribers now and all the Python code runs on the Microsoft Cloud.
With Python in Excel, users will be able to type Python code directly into an Excel cell. The Python calculations will run on Microsoft’s cloud servers and be delivered back to the Excel sheet.
A dataframe named “DF1” is created via cell reference, using the new Excel function with an auto-generated headers parameter. The code can be outputted as a Python object or an Excel value.
