MIDLAND, Ga. (WRBL) — The groundbreaking for a new fire station took place Friday afternoon on a four-acre lot in the Midland area. The land for the new station was donated by Pratt Whitney.

Occidental, one of the largest oil and gas companies in the Permian Basin, will donate approximately 4.4 acres of land in northeast Midland for an expected 12th fire station in the city of Midland.
