Collier County may soon require landlords to give a 60-day notice when hiking rent for housing by more than 5%. On Tuesday, commissioners by a vote of 3-2 agreed to move ahead with the new rules.

Collier County Board of County Commissioners awarded Kelly Brothers, Inc. the $2.7 million contract for Caxambas in March 2024 and the $1.22 million contract for Collier Boulevard in October 2024.

In April, with the Collier County's planning board's blessing, a new proposal was presented to the Board of County Commissioners for 205 for-rent apartments in four-story buildings.
