The sheet-based design is currently rolling out to users on the stable channel of the Google Maps app (version 11.136.x) for Android.

Over the course of 2024, Google Maps for Android has been working on a redesign that drops most fullscreen UIs in favor of sheet-based layouts. This revamp is now more widely rolling out.

We’re seeing this full sheet redesign rolled out with the stable version (25.16) of Google Maps for Android today. It should eventually come to the iPhone and iPad.
