Owners of Android phones can send an RCS message to an iPhone, and then tap and hold the sent text. At the top of the screen, you should see a pencil icon.

Over the past week, several users, including myself, have gained the ability to edit RCS messages sent to iPhone users. After sending a message, I can long-press it to reveal a pencil icon.
