Toronto police say the man was walking down the street holding the snake in the area of Dundas Street West and Manning Avenue at around 11:50 p.m. on Wednesday, threatening people with the python.

It is unknown what happened to the snake after the attack. Toronto resident Laurenio Avila, 45, has been charged with assault with a weapon and unnecessary pain/suffering to an animal.
