UNC baseball is hosting an NCAA Tournament Regional for the third time in the past four seasons at Boshamer Stadium.

While the NCAA Tournament’s Selection Show will be tomorrow at noon Eastern, we got a nice teaser tonight with the announcement of the 16 teams that will be hosting regionals starting this Friday. Fresh off of winning the ACC Tournament Championship in dominating fashion,

The Eagles lost in the second round to North Carolina, 7-2, despite leading for the first six innings of the game. The Tar Heels went on to win the tournament.

The Diamond Heels scored eight runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and crushed No. 5 seed Clemson 14-4 in the ACC Championship.

In the ACC quarterfinal game against No. 3 North Carolina, the No. 14 Eagles fell 7–2 despite a lights-out performance from A.J. Colarusso.

The Diamond Heels scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to erase a 2-0 deficit against No. 14 seed Boston College.

After a rather inconsistent season, Boston College baseball’s (28-29, 13-20) year has come to a close after losing to North Carolina (40-12, 18-11) in the ACC Baseball Championship quarterfinals, 7-2.
