Mahim constituency is one of the 288 seats from the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly up for grabs. The constituency, designated by number 181, falls in Mumbai Suburban District. Mahim, the general category constituency, is currently represented in Maharashtra Legislative Assembly by Sada Sarvankar from Shiv Sena (Shinde).

This is the first time the Shiv Sena's bow and arrow symbol will not be seen in the constituency which is home to the Parel area that gave the Sena its first-ever MLA in Wamanrao Mahadik in 1970.

This Marathi-dominated region was once represented by the first MNS MLA, but for the last two elections, the constituency has been electing Shiv Sena representatives. This time, though the Shiv Sena (UBT) has fielded its current MLA Ajay Choudhari.
