Flare-ups in the San Bernardino National Forest have prompted officials to issue new evacuation orders as firefighters continue battling against the Line Fire. Containment of the wildfire in the San Bernardino County mountains dropped to 76 percent early this week.

Residents were ordered to evacuate from Seven Oaks, a mountain community south of Big Bear Lake and north of Highway 38, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said Sunday afternoon. Emergency personnel were actively working in the area and firefighting aircraft were on order.

California residents near a wildfire that is largely contained have been ordered to evacuate after the blaze in San Bernardino County flared up. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department told residents of Seven Oaks to leave the community ahead of a surge in the Line Fire on Sunday afternoon.
