The Nigerian Senate has approved the State of Emergency for Rivers State as declared by President Bola Tinubu. The upper legislative chamber also approved a six-month suspension of Governor Sim Fubara,

The Senate has approved President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s proclamation of a state of emergency in Rivers State, exercising its constitutional powers under the amended 1999 Constitution. Naija News reports that the Senate also approved the suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara,

The National Assembly  also imposed a joint committee of both chambers, to oversee the administration of affairs in Rivers State during the emergency period.

After the Milwaukee Bucks disappointingly fell to the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night for their fifth loss in their last seven games, head coach Doc Rivers reportedly made a serious attempt to figure out a solution.

According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, Doc Rivers called a meeting with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard after the Milwaukee Bucks lost to the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday (3/18). The Bucks have been struggling lately.
