If you’re as Pokémon TCG Pocket -pilled as I am, you’re desperate for new cards to collect and new events to battle through. Fortunately, it sounds like players won’t have to wait too much longer for either one, at least according to the latest datamined leaks coming out of the mobile card game.

An upcoming Pokemon TCG Pocket PvP event will feature one the toughest challenges we’ve ever seen in the game, and players should be worried.

TCG Pocket is a free-to-play mobile game where players assemble a digital collection of Pokémon cards. The game launched with a line of booster packs called Genetic Apex and at time of publication, there are 226 cards in the app’s rolodex.

Opening up card packs is the progenitor of loot boxes, so we can all recognize that occasionally icky feeling while playing Pokémon TCG Pocket. Keeping track of all the game’s numerous currencies certainly doesn’t help in that regard either.

The Pokemon TCG Pocket Venusaur event is right around the corner and it features two extremely powerful cards that can counter the best decks.

In Pokemon TCG Pocket, Pack Points are a card-crafting currency. You earn them passively by engaging with the game’s main card-acquisition features. These points can then be spent in an exclusive shop to purchase any non-promotional card you want—even ultra-rare ones like the Crown Rarity Pokemon.

Increasing your level is the only way to earn free Poké Gold in Pokémon TCG Pocket. Upon level up, you get rewarded with one or two pieces of Poké Gold, depending on your level. Accounts in Pokémon TCG Pocket currently max out at Level 50, with a maximum of 60 Poké Gold available.

Logging out and switching accounts in Pokemon TCG Pocket might seem like a hassle, but these workarounds can make the process easier.

Gardevoir, with its Psy Shadow ability, is indeed one of the most powerful cards in the Pokemon TCG Pocket meta. Its ability allows for the attachment of a Psychic Energy from the Energy Zone to the Psychic Pokemon in the Active Spot, providing efficient energy acceleration.

While everyone is saving up their pack points in the hopes of finally getting Mewtwo EX or Gardevoir to complete their decks, the cards they really need might already be in their collections. Rare cards aren’t the only strong ones in Pokémon TCG Pocket and you can build something strong mostly using common cards.

December features a Venusaur battle event in Pokemon TCG Pocket with multiple rewards and challenges. A Magnemite and Bulbasaur event will begin on December 6. Another emblem event in December allows players to earn emblems for their profiles.
