“Trump is turning the U.S. military against American citizens,” Newsom wrote on X.

Newsom said the Trump administration intends “to use unlawfully federalized National Guard troops and Marines to accompany federal immigration enforcement officers on raids throughout Los Angeles.”

Tuberville recently joined President Donald Trump in calling for Newsom’s arrest after he claimed the federal government was overstepping its bounds when Trump activated the National Guard -- without the governor’s permission to maintain order in Los Angeles.
