It was clear something was off when Illinois coach approached Wisconsin's Greg Gard after the Badgers' 95-74 win over the Illini on Tuesday at the Kohl Center in Madison. After a brief exchange, Gard stiffened slightly and could clearly be seen to mouth one word "Why?"

Wisconsin basketball ended its nine-game losing streak to rival Illinois in decisive fashion on Tuesday evening, winning 95-74.

The Badgers enter their game with Oregon on Saturday fresh off back-to-back wins in which they scored more than 90 points.

Tipping off the game with 6-foot-9 Ben Humrichous and 6-foot-6 Jake Davis at the five and four, the Illini were at a gargantuan size disadvantage against a Badgers squad led by a frontcourt of 7-footer Steven Crowl and 6-foot-11 Nolan Winter.

The star graduate guard has averaged 25.1 points per game over his last eight contests, showing significant improvements even after setting a high bar at the start of the season.
