Florida All-American guard Walter Clayton Jr. rose into the first round of the NBA draft as he led the Gators to the national championship.

With five teams – Texas, LSU, Ohio State, Georgia and Alabama – making the top tier, the "Diamond Tier," the Gators were among eight teams in the "Elite Tier" with a 4.0 rating or higher.
