The clock has struck 8 AM, and the counting process has begun for the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025. As per the rules, postal ballots will be counted first, followed by the opening of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) to tally votes for the 70-member Delhi Assembly.

Counting of votes for the Delhi assembly polls is taking take place in 19 counting stations, spreading across 11 districts of the city to decide whether the AAP will come to power for a fourth term or the BJP will form a government in the national capital after more than 26 years.

As in the case of Jammu and Kashmir where the bloc won and in Haryana and Maharashtra where it was decimated, the coalition leader Congress is facing criticism for its failure to prevent the BJP from taking the driver's seat.
