President Trump is threatening to pull federal funding from so-called sanctuary cities and it could cost Boston $300 million.

The federal government will develop a list of sanctuary jurisdictions that would likely include Massachusetts and Boston, potentially threatening their access to federal funds.

Sanctuary policies, according to the president’s order, are “a lawless insurrection against the supremacy of Federal law and the Federal Government’s obligation to defend the
