South Carolina Department of Public Safety confirmed that Five people have died in County Helene, and 20 have died in the Upstate.

Emergency Management reported that 29% of residents in Anderson remain without power as of Thursday. Officials said they have put together a website where residents can find several links and key notes on how to find help . Residents can also call 864-276-8620.

"Additional resources including Advanced Life Support paramedic ambulances are heading to Anderson County to relieve our teams who have responded to urgent calls from early Friday morning until Monday. Upstate, Lancaster and Lexington Counties will work alongside our units in the fields starting on Monday.

Tropical Storm Helene killed 3 people in Anderson County, SC. Thousands were without power, but the damage could have been worse. Flooding was less than feared.

At Anderson County High School in Clinton, the Mavericks are calling for everyone to fill a tractor trailer by donating water to be taken to those in need in upper East Tennessee. The Mavericks, via social media, said the water can be dropped off at the school's front lobby. The school is located at 130 Maverick Circle.

Anderson County remains under a state of emergency. Crews work to clear debris-blocked roads and restore power to affected areas.

Sumter County's public works crews cleared roads of fallen trees, debris and power lines caused by the hurricane, the press release said.
