With 14 million users, Microsoft's open source cross-platform code editor Visual Studio Code is one of its key tools for keeping developers engaged with its future in the cloud.

Additionally, the Visual Studio plug-in will replace placeholder variables and whatnot that occur in the sample code with the actual variables in use by the developer in their own code.
