NUS researchers have developed a clinical algorithm (flowchart) for individuals in Singapore with type 2 diabetes to manage their diabetic condition when they fast during Ramadan.

Under the algorithm system, the job of scrutinizing the operation – including checking safety procedures and swabbing for listeria – was never flagged for an inspector, the investigation found.
