Stephen King is one of the world’s bestselling authors. While he has published more than 75 novels and 200-plus short stories over his half-century career, it’s his debut novel that still seems to be the literary gift that keeps on giving.

Mike Flanagan’s newest adaptation of Stephen King’s work is a familiar favorite for many fans. After adapting Gerald’s Game and Doctor Sleep, Flanagan is branching out from his work at Netflix to produce his next series at Amazon: a series based on Stephen King’s Carrie.

Flanagan, a past master at Stephen King stories and other horror tales, is considering actor Summer H. Howell to play the lead role.
