Steph Curry's return to the Golden State Warriors' lineup on Friday came despite some lingering pain after being diagnosed with a pelvic injury. Curry revealed that he suffered a "deep serious contusion" that was reminiscent of an injury he had in 2021. Curry said he can play but will "feel it for a while."

Dunleavy later told Warriors coach Steve Kerr that Curry lobbied to re-enter the game, but Dr. Rick Celebrini and the franchise’s medical team decided not to risk it. They instead shut Curry down and sent him for a late-night MRI on the injury. The extent of the injury is not yet known.
